Abraham Lincoln High School is YESS’ longest-running program as an after-school social emotional peer-mentoring model. A study used data from 2006 through 2012 and compared students that were engaged with the YESS program compared to similar students that did not engage in the YESS program. The results of this study demonstrated that 85 percent of mentees engaged in YESS were on track to graduate, as opposed to 40 percent of their counterparts (Smith, J. 2012).
