Daniel Valles, Mentor Leader at West High School: Daniel moved from Pampa, Texas to Denver, Colorado in December of 2007. He is taking AP English at West High School and has maintained a 3.1 GPA. He has also played Varsity football and is currently thinking of playing baseball for West. His interests are sports, musical instruments, and social activities. His favorite instrument to play is the guitar; his favorite sport is football. Daniel is involved with a class called Colorado UpLift, which helps develop leadership and good habits. He likes volunteering and helping people out the best he can. The YESS Mentor Leader position is a chance for Daniel to do just that while he also learns good work ethics and leadership skills. Daniel has set a firm goal and is resolute to reach it. Daniel would like to be a Hepatologist Doctor. His father's passing has motivated him to do so. Daniel is the Mentor Leader at the YESS Peer Mentoring Program at West.
