Brandi Quintana is a current senior from North High School. She is very involved within the school with sports, clubs, and extra activities. Through her high school years she has noticed if you students have something to go for they will work harder academically. For her football management, basketball, and golf keep her on track throughout the school year. That is what made YESS mentoring so appealing to her, she said, “This program is giving me the chance to be that drive that some mentees may need.” Other then the YESS Mentor Leader Brandi also has been involved with: football management, softball, golf, playing basketball, coaching basketball, National Honor Society, Math Club, Prom Committee, and Talent Show Coordination team. For her future she has the ambition to go to CU Boulder, CSU Pueblo, UNLV, NMA, or UCLA. Brandi plans to study respiratory therapy, as well as major in medicine.Selena Gomez is a senior at North High School. She was born and raised in North Denver. She emerged as a leader as she approached high school and began to take on many roles in her school. Selena is very involved in her community. She volunteers at her old Elementary school and serves in the Student Board of Education as the Senior Representative for North High School. At school she is involved with National Honor Society as the President and is the lead Senior for Student Leadership. Selena is captain of the Softball team and has been involved with the team since her freshman year. She also is the Boys Baseball Manager. Selena's passion is expressed through a lens. She loves to take pictures and you can find her a majority of sporting events for her school. Aside from running around taking pictures for the yearbook, she is one of the Editors for the Yearbook Staff. Selena has established her own business taking photographs. Selena plans to further her knowledge in photography at a four year institution, preferably University of Colorado at Denver or Metropolitan State College in Colorado.
